Image Basics & Concepts
When using digital equipment to capture, store, modify and view photographic images, they must first be converted to a set of numbers in a process called digitization or scanning. Attention to the details of how an image is created, how it is stored, who will be using or accessing it, and how, is crucial to successful digital imaging.
There are a number of elements that have an impact on image quality and video displays and are, therefore, important to understand when working with a network camera. The elements include the scanning technique, the color depth, video resolution and multiple streaming all of which are discussed in this white paper.
